The Airstream Adventures of David, Ari, Willie and
Oreo (our dog).
Welcome to AIRSTREAM4FUN.COM, a website devoted to our hobby and love of Airstream trailers and the Airstream culture. This website chronicles where we have been with our Airstream trailer and the interesting people we have met along the way.
We live in Ventura County, California which is located on the coast between
Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. This is great Airstreaming country because of the beautiful destinations which can be found within a short driving distance.
There are lots of places to camp along the beach; some of them are right on the sand where the surf is your weekend front yard and some are perched atop a bluff where you can see across the ocean for miles and the Channel Islands look so close you can almost touch them. Pismo Beach (also called Fresno by the Sea) is a great spot because of its year round cool temperatures and its broad beaches that bring the tide in as you walk in your bare feet with your trousers rolled up.
There are also lots of mountains and hillsides to explore in our own backyard. We enjoy the quite and peaceful getaway in the hills above Santa Paula as well as the varied things to do when camping around the mountains of Santa Barbara.
Here are some snapshots of who we are...

We are a two Airstream family. Come to find out there is a large percentage of Airstream owners who own more than one. I recently met a guy who has three and have read about a fellow in Airstream Life magazine who was a warehouse full of vintage rigs.
We have two so we can capture the good old days of the vintage era or enjoy the conveniences of modern camping in our 2006 Safari.
We bought this 1962 Globetrotter from an ad in the Blue Beret magazine. Its gray-ash exterior skin was polished to this shiny mirror finish which is a real conversation starter when we take it out for day trips or overnighters
We occasionally take our vintage truck and trailer combo out to the beach on weekends to have an early morning breakfast and catch some waves. Here’s a photo taken at one our favorite spots, Westward Beach outside Malibu.
We use our Safari most of the time since it has modern conveniences, a gray tank, and it sleeps a lot of people which is nice when Grandma or other relatives want to camp with us.
We hope you enjoy this site. Come back often and post a comment if you would like!
